Asian Giant Hornet update: even though no asian giant hornets have been seen on the treefarm, we want our recreators to stay safe. The hornets are attracted to bee hives, so please keep a distance from any of the bee hives you might see in the treefarm.

COVID-19 UPDATE

Starting may 5th the treefarm will re-open to the public to recreate. Make sure to observe below and have a signed release on file before entering.

Pilchuck Tree Farm plans to follow the lead of other public lands regarding any potential closures in the future regarding the coronavirus situation.  Know that as we come into fire season, recreation closures are always a possibility during times of high fire danger.

Come Prepared - Bring your own soap, water, hand sanitizer, and toilet paper with you, sani-cans will be available. Be prepared to cover your nose and mouth if you find yourself near others with a mask or other facial covering.

Stay Close to Home - This is not the time to travel long distances to recreate. If your destination is crowded, be prepared to go somewhere else or come back at another time. Also, make sure to enjoy the outdoors with your immediate household members only. Recreation with those you donít live with creates new avenues for transmission.

Donít Take Unnecessary Risks - Health care workers and first responders are working really hard right now to keep us safe during this health crisis. This is not the time to try out trailriding with your new horse.

Practice Physical Distancing and Good Hygiene - Keep six feet between you and those outside your immediate household. Leave at least one parking space between your vehicle and the vehicle next to you. Wash your hands often and try not to touch your face. Practice good hygiene and bring your own water, soap, hand sanitizer, and facial covering with you.

Leave No Trace - As always take any garbage with you, including disposable gloves and masks and with shedding season upon us remember to not leave hair in the parking areas either.

As of May 5th the Victoria Tract trails will be open to users

FYI: Do not contact the PRA about hunting or firewood inquiries.

If you find the parking lot at Bracken gate full, here is a suggestion:

To Morgan Parking Lot from the Bracken Parking Lot:

At Grandview and Bracken, turn right (East). Follow Grandview for ~ 2 1/2 miles. Turn left (North) onto West Scouten Loop Road. Follow W Scouten Loop Road for ~ 1 1/4 miles, the road will curve to the right and cross a single lane bridge. Cross the Bridge, continue for ~3/8 mile. At the top of the hill, turn left to the Morgan Gate.

You must be a member of the Morgan Horse Club of WA to park here, any one can become a member for a yearly fee of $35, no Morgan needed for a membership!
